Eli Wallach was one ugly man, so much so that they even gave him that
title, "Ugly," in one of his most famous films,
The Good, the Bad, and
the Ugly. Born in Brooklyn, he was the son of Polish immigrants. While
his parents wanted him to be a teacher, he preferred acting and set his
sights on following his big dream. It didn't take long before he was
noticed for his acting skill and he started landing major roles, both on
stage and on the big screen. He co-
starred
with many of Hollywood's greatest actors and actresses in the 1950s and
1960s. The depths of his acting ability were endless; he played
everything from a Mexican bandit to an Italian mobster. He was known for
his charisma and charm, which trumped his less-than-attractive looks.
Eli Wallach lived a long life and died at the ripe old age of 98 on June
24, 2014. Eleven of our Deadpoolers knew that it was his time to leave
the stage and helped to send him packing: Dianagram, Exuma, Grim McGraw,
Headless Horseman, Koko-Moxie, Loki, Mark, The Wiz, Tim J., Walking
Dead Dude, and Worm Farmer.
