Bonnie Brown, the youngest member of the family trio the Browns, joined her siblings after finishing high school in 1955. They started on the Louisiana Hayride, then moved on to the Grand Ole Opry. When Jim Ed Brown went solo in 1966, Bonnie retired as a singer, returning for reunions in the 1980s and in 2005. She announced having lung cancer in September 2015, just three months after the passing of brother Jim Ed.
